Hey! I'm Draco. If you are considering to come ELI class, here are some advice.
First, don't come at winter time! There is nothing but dirty snow and wind. If you are coming at summer, remember to bring an umbrella with you, or at least buy one at the first time you get here, and always remember taking it with you. It will be raining at anytime in summer.
Also,the CTA buses and trains, which are Chicago public transportation, can take you to almost everywhere in Chicago. make sure you have known the CTA train map before you take the trains. Trust me, you don't want to get lost or find out you got on a wrong train to another way after half hour. One thing you have to know about the bus is that if you want to get off at next stop, pull the line by the windows before. This will make the bus drivers know there is someone want to get off. If you don't do this, they will probably just drive pass your stop. By the way, if you get lost or you want to go somewhere but you don't know how to get there, then just ask! Lot of people here on the street are kind and nice to help, or just use Google map on your smart phone. There are many places have free WIFI and I found it is really helpful when I first time come here.

February 03 Chicago History Museum
We went to Chicago History Museum yesterday. Just like what the name represented , it is a museum that has all the history of Chicago. I have learned lot of historical things of Chicago.
Do you know there wasn't 4 stars at first when people designed this flag? In 1917, there were only two stars on the flag . Those two stars represented the Chicago fire of 1871 and the big Chicago world's fair of 1893. By the time 1933 the third star had been added. This star represented the Century of Progress International Exposition of 1933-34. In 1939 , after one week the flag designer Wallace Rice died, the city council added a final star to commemorate the Fort Dearborn massacre of 1812 , and they changed the order of stars. They put this star at the first place of flag.
"The three white stripes of the flag represent, from top to bottom, the North, West and South sides of the city. The top blue stripe represents Lake Michigan and the North Branch of the Chicago River. The bottom blue stripe represents the South Branch of the river and the Great Canal, over the Chicago Portage." Do you know this is Chicago's flag? Before I went there, I don't even know this! I have seen this flag for many times , but I never knew this is the flag of city Chicago ! Also I have found some interesting things about this flag.

Hey! I'm Draco
Hey! Everyone
I'm Draco. My Chinese name is Yize Shi. I'm from China. I have been living in the capital city of China -Beijing for almost 9 years, but I was born in Luoyang which is a small city in the middle of China. Now, I'm here in Kendall College for improve my English , then I'm going to study Culinary Arts here for 3 years.
I have two older sisters , so there are 5 family members in my family, which is a big family for Chinese people. I would like to watch movies , read novels and play online games at my free time.Also the most importantly , I love eating. I mean not eating as a normal meal , but trying different type of food all around the world. That is kind of like a dream for me, also I want to study how to cook the food as well. I've heard that Kendall College is a great place to study cooking skills. That is why I chose Kendall College to get my bachelor degree.
Also I want to explore this great city-Chicago. I love this city when I first came here at summer time.People here are kind and friendly ,and the city was so beautiful .I love the views of the city and the lake. However, I hate the windy snow at winter :( but the good thing is I have met some nice friends here, and it doesn't feel like that cold anymore when friends are around you and help you.
